How to Start Your Day with a Positive Mindset

Starting the day with a positive mindset, makes a difference in how we decide to handle the daily basis. This can help the mood, productivity, and overall well-being. A positive attitude is more than just waking up early or having a great breakfast, its to consciously choose the actions and thoughts that set the tone for a great day. I’ll be sharing with you, some examples on how to start your day:
1. Awaken Early and Gently: For your mental and physical health, waking up early brings lots of benefits. What do we mean gently? You shoul
d avoid the habit of continuously turning off the snooze every 5 minutes, and the alarm should be something really chill like classical music or nature sounds. It could help you reduce the stress and wake up with tranquility.
2. Practice Gratitude: Imagine waking up and being grateful for everything you have and being alive. This practice brings positive outcomes, is just to think, not even write, things you're grateful for, such as family, friends or your health. Gratitude helps you focus away from the negative things that commonly surround your head and to change your perspective on some things.
3. No Wake Up & Check Phone: It has become a habit that the first thing you check in the morning is your phone, well this is leading to stress and anxiety. Your day hasn't started by that time, but your mind and body is already so overwhelmed. Change the phone for some stretching, small meditation, enjoy your bed. This can help you to feel more grounded and to start your day with a different perspective.
4. Morning Exercise: Moving your body in the morning can help boost your energy and energy. A small workout such like a walk, yoga, or stretching can help you release those endorphins that make you feel better. As said before it can help you reduce the stress and anxiety from the thousand thoughts of the new day. Find an activity you like and enjoy, so that it becomes something that you look forward to.
5. Practice Mindfulness or Meditation: We’ve talked a lot about these practices throughout the last weeks, but as said before mindfulness and meditation are essential for a more present lifestyle. It can help you clear your mind and set the perfect positive mindset of the day. An audio guided meditation, or basic breathing exercises, can be easy forms of meditation for that moment when you wake up.
6. Eat a Nutritious Breakfast: Normally the most important meal of the day is breakfast. Giving yourself a nutritious breakfast can help your body and brain start with the fuel they need to go through the day. Remember to include foods that are rich in vitamins, minerals and proteins. Try to avoid things such as processed foods and sugars that can make you feel tired after.
7. Affirmations: To build a positive mindset you can start your day repeating some positive statements, that would take you out of the negative thoughts. As an example you can say “I am strong, I am intelligent, I am ready to have a great day” , these statements can help build confidence and positivity.
8. Set Achievable Daily Goals: Starting your day by planning what you want to accomplish is a great way to set positive goals. Write down each morning and tasks for the day, and make sure that they are reachable and realistic, but important to you. Something that motivates you can reduce stress and make you feel more organized and focused. Celebrating small victories throughout the day is a really positive mindset.
